Growing Up A Wall

Michael Hellgren, a Swedish landscape architect. He studied at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala, Sweden and at the École d'Architecture et de Paysage at Bordeaux, France. He took an interest in vertical gardens while writing his thesis on the technique, originally developd by French Patrik Blanc. Hellgren constructed the first Swedish vertical garden for the design group, Muunganos', office in 2004.
