Brad Pitt: Actor or Architect?

Evidently, he's both. Now, you maybe surprised to see this sort of thing on my blog, but I promise, it's relevant (and sexy).

Brad Pitt, not an uncommon name in Hollywood, appearing in Se7en, Fight Club, The Mexican, Babel, Troy and Ocean's Eleven (12 & 13). With Brad Grey, head of Paramount Pictures, Pitt founded the production company Plan B which has recently produced Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the 2006 Best Picture winner The Departed. Turning 45 at the end of this year and presently married to actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie, they have six children and a partnership in both domestic and international activism advocating human rights and a 'greener' world.

Yesterday, Pitt announced his plan to design a new, eco-friendly resort in Dubai with local Zabeel Properties and the Los Angeles branch of the international architectural firm GRAFT. This five-star, 800-room resort is said to be ""socially conscious" and a world leader in environmental sustainability." according to Anita Singh of the Los Angeles Times. Pitt said that: "Whilst acting is my career, architecture is my passion. Selecting this development as my first major construction project has been a simple decision," In the past he has also commented, "I'm really into architecture, structure and design. Give me anything and I'll design it. I'm a bit nutty with it." Pitt has also designed 150 affordable, eco-friendly homes in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans in an effort to help rebuild the city after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Just a sidenote, let's remember the super-sexy Brad Pitt of the early 1990s:
